Culver City is a small city with very different doors: a 1930s bungalow on one block, a converted warehouse office on the next. We handle both, and we tell you the price before we touch anything.
Culver City grew up around the movie studios, and you can still see that in its streets. Neighborhoods like Carlson Park, Culver Crest and Clarkdale are full of Spanish style houses and bungalows from the 1920s to the 1940s, with arched doorways and thick wood doors. Downtown, around Washington and Culver Boulevards, there are restaurants, condos and new mixed-use buildings. The Hayden Tract and the area near the Arts District have old warehouses turned into offices and creative studios with roll-up bays, side doors and a lot of glass. Blair Hills and Fox Hills add hillside homes and apartment complexes.
The older houses often have beautiful original doors that are worth keeping, but the hardware has been swapped piece by piece over the years, so a single house may take three different keys. We usually fit a solid deadbolt without hurting the door and rekey everything else to match. The converted offices are a different job: many exterior doors, keypads added one at a time, and staff coming and going. A master key system with a few keypad or access controlled doors makes that manageable. Newer downtown condos tend to have smart locks that need resetting when ownership changes.
Culver City is about 12.1 miles from Van Nuys in a straight line, which means about 35–60 minutes. Traffic on the 405 or through the canyons can push it longer, so we always give you the real ETA together with the price. Text (657) 478-8248 a photo of the lock, your cross streets and whether it is a home or an office.
Usually yes. We measure the door's thickness and the space near the edge, choose a deadbolt that fits, and drill only what the lock needs. We explain the plan and the price first. If the door is too thin or too narrow, we will tell you before we start.
In most cases, yes. We rekey the existing cylinders to work with one key for the owners and different keys for staff if you want. Doors that see a lot of traffic can get a keypad so you never hand out a key for them.
Factory reset the lock, set new user codes, and change the backup key cylinder if it has one. We can do all of that on one visit, and if you do not have the admin code, we help you get control of the lock.
